OTHER: The Royal Red Catchfly is native to parts of the US, but sadly has become quite rare due to loss of habitat, & is now on some endangered lists. The name Catchfly refers to the sticky substance in the plants calyx can trap small insects. The plants are able to tolerate shallow, rocky, or sandy soil. The large star shaped red flowers measure 2”wide & attract butterflies including The Swallowtail. The flowers have a 1” long calyx perfect for long beaks, & they are pollinated by the ruby-throated HUMMINGBIRD.
