OTHER: The Southern Magnolia is native to The Southern US. It is the state tree of Mississippi and the state flower of Louisiana. Its beautiful flowers are an unbelievable 10 - 12" in diameter!! The fragrant flowers are white with yellow stamens & have a waxy texture. The flowers turn into beautiful 3 – 4” long pink fruit in the fall. Plants are able to tolerate both coastal conditions & moist periods. This Magnolia’s beautiful hard wood is used commercially to make furniture. The Southern Magnolia is an evergreen with dark green shiny leaves whose undersides are a lovely reddish brown. The leaves are stiff & leathery, & measure up to 10" long. They are used by florists in arrangements. Beautiful!
