OTHER: Solomon's Spike is a North American native. It has unbranched foliage similar to Solomon's Seal, but with "upright" flower spikes at the tips of the stems. They are best planted in groups because of their single stalks. Solomon’s Spike prefers moist woodland conditions, but sun & average moisture to dryness are fine.
The flower spikes measure up to 3-5" long, & the leaves up to 6" long. By late summer, the flowers turn to clusters of round pinkish-red berries. During the berries maturation, they turn a lot of lovely colors with speckles & spots, with berries that end red in winter. Birds & other small critters will enjoy the berries! The fall leaves are also lovely, gaining stripes as they change colors.
