OTHER: The Chokecherry is native to North America. It is considered a shrub or small tree. It's lovely spring flowers have a strong, sweet fragrance with a vanilla almond scent. Through summer, pretty red berries form, maturing to black by harvest time. The raw berries are quite bitter tasting, & are often made in to jams, syrups, drinks, and/or added to baked goods.

The Chokecherry is quite beneficial to wildlife. The flowers provide an excellent nectar source for pollinators like bees & butterflies. It is also a host plant for numerous species of butterflies & moths. The berries are beloved by a wide variety of bird species & mammals.
